Nathan Fillion’s White Noise 2 on DVD

“White Noise the Light” (as it’s know in the UK) was released in UK theatres on the 5th of January last year and has been viewed in many other countries.In Australia, the film went direct to DVD in July but there were rumors that it may still see a big-screen release in the US before becoming available on DVD.Unfortunately this didn’t prove to be the case and the DVD was finally released, a year later, straight to DVD.
Director Patrick Lussier states that the issues surrounding the delays and eventual abandonment of the theatrical release in the US aren’t about the movie itself: “It also is determined by how much money they [Rogue] have on hand for releasing not just this but all the films on their slate. It doesn’t reflect on the film itself, regardless of what you might think.” Despite it’s association with the previous movie “White Noise” getting it some bad press, many reviewers are saying they’ve been pleasantly surprised by how good White Noise 2 actually is, a good deal of the credit going to lead actor Nathan Fillion (Serenity, Desperate Housewives) and supporting actor Katee Sackhoff (Battlestar Galactica).
