Sunday, April 29th, 2007

This movie beats the original hands down!

I loved it, in fact i purchased the DVD.

The action starts immediatly and doesnt let go until the end, the acting is good and the scares are great, also its more emotional overall.

Good Scare

Sunday, April 29th, 2007

I watched the original and thought it was OK… When I found out there was a part 2, I thought to myself “Are You Joking”. I got a chance to see this movie recently and wow, way better then I ever expected! The storyline make sense. The charters are believable. The special effects and creepy scenes are great.

Instead of the original, they should have taken Michael Keaton paycheck and invest it in this movie. The acting and the plot was good enough for the big screen. I watched it with my girlfriend and the movie got 3 or 4 good screams out of her! I would strongly recommend this movie if you want a good Friday Night Scare.

On the Edge

Sunday, April 29th, 2007

At first i thought this movie was going to be like the first, somewhat slow paced and farely boring! but to my suprise it was actual good, consisting of exellent production and fast paced suspense. There are a few twists and turns which keep you on the edge wondering what may happen next. I thought the ending could have had abit more thought put into it but il leave that up to you guys to decide!! lol

Overall this movie is basicly the sixth sense meets the final destination meets Flatliners.

[ With thanks to Dorian for the english translation ]

Aleksandr—Remarkable film! During the process of this film, you can follow a thin psychological tract—from a feeling that one has defied fate to later—surprise and despair of that burden. From the beginning to the end there is growing suspense which holds to the end and at certain moments makes you crawl to the back of your chair. In some ways it is even a thriller. I would suggest it to all who love good films.

Mikhail—The first film [the original White Noise] was completely boring. The whole film you wait for some sort of evil. But in this film there is now a subject and a goal that the main character is working towards. It’s a good film, but I wouldn’t call it a horror film.

Groza—This film is intriguing and at times shocking. It is not a horror film, but one that plays off suspense, holding you till the end of the film. I really enjoyed how the soundtrack of the film was composed and the subject itself is interesting. I went with my husband and he wasn’t amused … but in my opinion the main idea of the film is something else: Every person on the earth is designated his life and his death and it is not worth playing with the fates of others for one’s own self-assertion.

Den—I used to love watching “X-Files” and was extremely happy when White Noise continued the genre of mystic psycho-thriller. Even in the style of Stephen King! The entire film holds you in its tension. I definitely suggest you watch it.

Lelik—The theme continues from the first film, but not with the same characters. It starts with new intrigue, takes the idea from the original film, and goes much further. And the idea is developed in unexpected and unique directions. The scenario included a whole series of moments which I found shocking and captivating. The film is just SUPER!!!

Dina—The film is really scary!!! Absolutely not connected with the first half! Interesting strong film!

Derty ui—Amazing film! I suggest it!

This horror movie isn’t going to set box offices on fire, but it’s suitably scary, with some good fright scenes, and of course, there’s Nathan Fillion, who’s great in the lead role, and actually makes you care for his character. Definitely better than expected.

Better than expected

I left the theatre feeling pretty damm good that i had seen a film that had bettered my expectations…..All in all a very good film that will have your better half clinging onto your arm within 5 Min’s of the opening credits.

“Must have” on DVD list

Tuesday, February 6th, 2007

I did not really want to see this film. I don’t really like the horror genre much and the early hints were that this film wasn’t going to be very good. HOW WRONG Straight away you really care about Abe (Fillion) his performance alone is worth the admission , the emotion he conveys is so genuine it really brings tears to your eyes. He also has great chemistry with Katee Sackoff and their scenes together are a joy to watch. Add to this great convincing stunts, plenty of “oh so that’s why that happened” moments and good performances from the supporting players and you have a film worth seeing. I loved it and have already seen it for a second time and its already on my must have on DVD list too.

Dramatic Irony

Tuesday, February 6th, 2007

Overall, the film is certainly worth the watch. Nathan Fillion succeeds in bringing us a character we care for, and makes the audience side with him. There is a lot of dramatic irony in the film which works very well at the climax, and there are a number of quite touching moments throughout. To put it simply, White Noise 2 has far surpassed the original and despite a few drawbacks, is worth the price of the ticket.

Uncharacteristically Tragic

Tuesday, February 6th, 2007

Overall I found this a really likable film. It’s uncharacteristically tragic for franchise horror and there are clear references to An American Werewolf in London and Bride of Frankenstein, as well as a nod to Don’t Look Now, for movie buffs to enjoy. What’s great is that they are fairly subtle references to classics rather than sledgehammer winks to the audience.

Visually impressive

Tuesday, February 6th, 2007

This film is visual impressive, well paced for its 97 minutes and is very strong in the drama department, the acting is great and there are no cheesy moments within range. I loved every minute of it and I recommend you see this psychological/thriller/drama.
